An MES (Manufacturing Execution System) is a heavy, expensive solution covering the entire plant. A process application is lighter and targets one specific process (e.g. quality control, OEE, planning). It can be implemented in weeks instead of months, at a fraction of the cost of an MES. When needed, the applications can also be integrated with an existing MES or ERP.
Yes — provided the application is genuinely fast and simple. We design interfaces keeping in mind that the operator wears work gloves, sometimes wet ones. Large buttons, a minimal number of clicks, offline operation on the floor. In our implementations, adoption usually exceeds 90% within the first weeks.
Yes. Critical applications (quality control, inspection reports) have an offline mode — data is saved locally on the tablet and synchronizes automatically once the connection is restored. The operator never loses data, even during a network failure.
The first application (e.g. digital quality control on a single line) is usually live in 4–8 weeks. A full plant control system with OEE, planning and traceability — 4–9 months, but rolled out in stages: each iteration delivers concrete results after a few weeks.
Yes. We integrate with all popular ERP systems via API, webhooks or direct database connections. Process applications do not replace your ERP — they complement it where the ERP is inconvenient for operational staff.
